Applications open for City of Grande Prairie Youth Advisory Council
The City of Grande Prairie is seeking youth interested in sharing their perspectives on local issues.
The City is inviting youth aged 14-24 to join the Youth Advisory Council and provide input directly to city council, city departments, and community organizations.
“Council values the opportunity to work with Youth Advisory Council members and hear directly from young people about their experiences in Grande Prairie,” said City of Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton. “Their perspectives help us better understand what matters to youth and ensure their voices are part of conversations about our community.”
“YAC has been a great way to connect with other youth in the community and meet people I probably wouldn’t have otherwise,” said Tarandeep Namsot, Youth Advisory Council Vice Chair. “I’ve learned more about how the city works and had the opportunity to make sure youth voices are heard. The experience I’ve gained is something I know I’ll carry with me into the future.”
