City of Grande Prairie begins fall residential street sweeping Oct. 5

Fall residential street cleaning begins for Grande Prairie residents next week.

Starting Monday, Oct. 5, the City of Grande Prairie will have crews removing leaves, sand, and other debris to maintain the roads and collect materials around catch basins and the drainage system.

Residents are being asked to keep their vehicles off the street while the sweepers are in their neighbourhoods.

Street cleaning operations begin Monday, Oct. 5, at the Hillside, Mountview, and VLA/Montrose neighbourhoods from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The full street sweeping schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, October 5: Hillside, Mountview and VLA/Montrose
  • Tuesday, October 6: Patterson, South Patterson and Southview
  • Wednesday, October 7: Avondale, College Park and Swanavon/Highland Park North
  • Thursday, October 8: Kensington, Mission Heights, O’Brien Lake and Stone Ridge
  • Friday, October 9: Arbour Hills, Gateway, Northridge, Royal Oaks and Westgate
  • Tuesday, October 13: Country Club Estates, Countryside North and South, Signature Falls and Country Club West
  • Wednesday, October 14: Cobblestone, Fieldbrook, Highland Park South, Riverstone and Smith
  • Thursday, October 15: Pinnacle Ridge and Westpointe
  • Friday, October 16: Lakeland, Easthaven, Crystal Ridge, Copperwood and Crystal Lake Estates
  • Monday, October 19: Crystal Heights, Crystal Landing, Summit and Ivy Lake Estates
