Fort St. John RCMP investigating “violent threats” towards a local student

Fort St. John RCMP became aware of violent threats made towards a local high school student on Sunday evening (Oct. 4).

As a result, Mounties were at the school all day yesterday (Monday, Oct. 5) “to provide support to staff and students as they attended school.”

Fort St John RCMP, Inspector Jaime Moffat says, “a thorough investigation has been conducted, and we continue to work collaboratively with the school and the school district to help alleviate concerns among students and families following the reported threats.”

They do note that both parties were known to each other and have spoken to each of them.
