Ryan Poehling scores short-handed winner for Ducks in 4-2 win over Flames
CALGARY — The Anaheim Ducks won their first three road games to start a season for the first time with a 4-2 win over the host Calgary Flames on Saturday.
Ducks centre Ryan Poehling scored the short-handed winner at 5:35 of the third period, but he was injured on the same play when he slid into the goalpost and Flames goalie Dustin Wolf.
Poehling, who also had an assist, didn’t return to the game.
Jackson Lacombe, Frank Vatrano and Nikita Nesterenko also scored for Anaheim (4-1-0), which won a second road game in as many nights after a 5-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets.
