Dec 17, 2017 | 7:14 AM

The JDA County Kings picked up a win Saturday night in their final home game of 2017 as they knocked off the Sexsmith Vipers 3-2.

Tyler Bueckert, Austin Hrehork, and Jacob Begin all found the back of the net for the Kings in the win, but the story of Saturday night’s game was Vipers goaltender Tyler Boe.

Boe made 52 saves in the loss as his team was heavily outshot 55-20.

With the win, the Kings improve to 14-9-2 on the year and are three points behind the North Peace Navigators.

The Kings and Vipers will meet on Wednesday in Sexsmith in their final game before the holidays.

Elsewhere in NWJHL action Saturday, Dawson Creek hammered Beaverlodge 12-4, and North Peace edged Fort St.John 5-2.
