Athletics roll into holiday’s on winning note

The Grande Prairie Athletics got back in the win column Saturday night at home thanks to a 5-3 victory over the Manning Comets.

The win was highlighted by three goals in the second period from Athletics forward Ryan Trudeau.

Grande Prairie also outshot the Comets substantially Saturday night 44-19.

The win lifts the Athletics record to 6-2-2 on the season.

They will be back on the ice in the new year when they meet Falher on January 5th to kick off the final month of the regular season.

In other NPHL action Saturday night, Grimshaw edged Falher 5-3, and Fort St.John obliterated High Prairie 12-2.
