Dinosaur museum says thanks to the community

Dec 16, 2017 | 7:08 AM

The Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum is offering free admission to its galleries today as a way of saying thanks to the community.

“We’ll have a fossil touch table so you can come in and take a look at fossils up close. You can watch our paleontologist doing a model excavation. and preparation of some fossils that have recently been collected,” said Education Program Instructor Nick Carter.

A special menu will be set in the restaurant and admission for movies in the theatre will be lowered to $2.

“Having free admission is kind of a way of saying thank-you for all the support we have gotten from the county, and the surrounding [areas] like Grande Prairie, Wembley, and Beaverlodge. We want to give people some extra bonuses and give them a really unique time.”

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
