Calgary Flames awaiting update on injured goaltender Devin Cooley

Oct 29, 2026 | 3:10 PM

CALGARY — Calgary Flames goaltender Devin Cooley remains under evaluation after suffering a lower-body injury during Wednesday’s 4-0 loss in Edmonton.

The 29-year-old was injured in a collision with Oilers forward Colton Dach in the crease with 12 seconds remaining in the first period.

He stopped eight of nine shots before leaving the game and was replaced by Dustin Wolf.

Flames head coach Ryan Huska said Thursday there was no further update on Cooley’s condition. No timetable for his return has been announced.

Cooley had started all four games of Calgary’s recent four-game winning streak, which ended Wednesday. He posted a 1.50 goals-against average and .955 save percentage during that stretch.

The Flames return home to face the Seattle Kraken on Friday.
