Mighty Peace Society searching for new Members

The Mighty Peace Society of Grande Prairie is putting the call out for new board and committee members.

The society encourages youth to give back to the causes which they care about, and by doing so earn their way into Mighty Peace Day, an event which features speakers, musical acts, and other performances.

” Right now we are looking for two board positions. We are also looking for a co-chair for our business, and a co-chair for our administration. Then under each one of those we have our sponsorship, we have our media liaison, our accounting and bookkeeping, ” said Chair of the Mighty Peace Society Ron Regnier. He added right now they have a strong core group of board members but are always looking to add some fresh blood to help improve the organization.

Despite not having any set qualifications to be a board member, Regnier did note he would like to see passionate individuals join the team. ” It’s a passion for your community. It’s a passion to see children and the youth of our community be more involved. There are no pre-requisites other than you have to be passionate about what we are doing. “
