Dogs on the loose in Wembley
After numerous reports of loose dogs in Wembley, the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer is reminding residents of the Animal Control Bylaws.
Lori Parker says there were reports on Facebook of dogs, mostly pit bull breeds, roaming the streets which prompted her to put out the note.
“In our bylaw, no owner should permit a dog to be running at large in the Town of Wembley. For the first offence it is a $100 fine, the second offence it is a $200 fine, and for the third offence you may appear in court,” said Parker.
She encourages residents to familiarize themselves with the Animal Control Bylaws in their town or city. For Wembley, the bylaws are available on their website.
