Municipal Election Day in BC

Ratepayers in British Columbia are voting in municipal elections today.
 
In Dawson Creek, two people are running for Mayor. They are incumbent Dale Bumstead and challenger Trenton Larz. There are nine candidates for six council seats.
 
In Fort St. John, incumbent Mayor Lori Ackerman is back in by acclamation. There are 12 contenders for the half-dozen spots on council.
 
In the District of Chetwynd, there are two candidates for Mayor and seven more for council.
 
The District of Tumbler Ridge has four candidates for Mayor on its ballot, along with 9 people running for six council spots.
 
In the District of Taylor, two people are running for Mayor, five more for the four council seats.
 
The four area director spots in the Peace River Regional District have been filled by acclamation.
