Woman shot in the leg Monday in Valhalla

A woman was shot while inside a Valhalla home Monday afternoon in what’s believed to be a targeted attack.

Beaverlodge RCMP say they were called around 12:30 p.m. to find the victim with a gunshot wound in her leg.

Mounties say three males approached the home and opened fire before taking off in two white pick-up trucks.

The victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
