Mr. Mikes Raising Funds for Charity

Dec 10, 2017 | 6:58 AM

A restaurant chain located in Grande Prairie will be looking to raise funds for a charitable cause this holiday season.

Mr.Mike’s Steakhouse Casual will be putting on their annual Deeds Well Done throughout the month of December.

“We started just over four years ago, and the point of the program is to recognize some of the great volunteers and charities in the communities in which we’re lucky enough to have restaurants operate,” said Robin Chakrabarty, President of Mr.Mike’s.

In Grande Prairie, Mr.Mike’s has chosen to Partner with the Purple for a Purpose program which focuses on fighting pancreatic cancer.

Chakrabarty explained why the franchise decided to put together this program.

“We wanted to find a way to recognize (those) who don’t always get recognition because they might be small or local,” he said.

“We wanted to find a way to help them because they’re near and dear to our hearts.”

Mr.Mike’s will be selling wall hangers, wrist bands, and bird houses to raise money for the Purple with a Purpose Campaign.
