Leaders of Tomorrow Award nominations are now being accepted
The Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau will begin accepting nominations for the annual Leaders of Tomorrow Awards.
The leadership program has been running for over 25 years in Grande Prairie. The awards recognize students who have made contributions to the community through volunteerism.
“Statistics show that young people who volunteer will continue to volunteer throughout their lifetimes. Young people who volunteer contribute to society. Young people who volunteer are engaged, so you’ve got more of that community participation, you build a healthier lifestyle and healthier communities,” says Carol-Anne Pasemko, Executive Director for Grande Prairie Volunteer Services Bureau.
Community members are being invited to nominate youth, ages 13-18 living in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas who deserve recognition for their dedication to helping others.
