“Critical Condition: The Opioid Crisis in Grande Prairie” to premiere next week
A video series produced to raise awareness about the opioid crisis in Grande Prairie is set to premiere next Tuesday.
“Critical Condition: The Opioid Crisis in Grande Prairie”, which was produced by the Grande Prairie Community Opioid Response Task Force, will be shown from 7-9 PM at the Grande Prairie Live Theatre on February 5th.
The task force, which was created by Mayor Bill Given in 2017, produced the series that will feature profiles from individuals with lived experiences, and others impacted by the crisis in an effort to give multiple perspectives on the issue, and to try and end the stigma surrounding opioid use.
A question and answer period with a panel of front-line workers and people with lived experiences will follow the screening.
