Afghanistan War Memorial Monument vandalized

Frustration among supporters of the Afghanistan War Memorial, after reports that the monument was vandalized late last week. 
 
Members of the Centaurs’ Men’s rugby team witnessed a few young girls, believed to be around 7-8 years old, at the memorial located next to the ANAVETs club.
 
Upon closer inspection, some parts of the monument had been blackened out with a marker. 
 
The names Bene, Julika and Grace were also signed on parts of the memorial. 
 
Anyone else who witnessed this act, or who might know these girls is asked to contact the Grande Prairie RCMP detachment.
