Temporary entry permits being issued to Old Fort residents

Temporary entry permits are being issued to residents of Old Fort that were evacuated following a landslide last week. 

The Evacuation Order is in effect for numerous homes in the halmet south of Fort St. John after the only road to the community was washed away. A permit application can be found on the Peace River Regional District website which will allow people to grab things like pets and legal papers. The PRRD Information Officer says people will be contacted wtih a scheduled re-entry time. 

A meetting was held at 11 a.m. today at the Stonebridge Hotel in FSJ to provide an update about the emergency evacuation.
