The second leg of the Pedal Pushers Bike Safety program taking place on Monday
The 2nd annual Pedal Pushers Bicycle Safety program is set to resume on Monday (July 30th).
Acting executive director for Grande Prairie and Area Safe Communities Cindy Blinston says the program is aimed at teaching kids aged 5 to 10 a variety of things from City and Canadian bike bylaws, to bike etiquette.
“One of our goals is to educate children on both sides of it so they know what the street laws are on both bikes and vehicles and also being respectful if you are using your bike on the sidewalk and shared pathways.”
A dozen kids will have the opportunity to participate in the six-hour course that will expand their knowledge on the do’s and don’ts of riding a bike.
