Guilty plea in Nampa robbery case

Mar 1, 2018 | 10:39 AM

A man charged after a pair of robberies in Nampa just before Christmas has been handed a six-year prison sentence in Peace River court.

Alberta Justice says David Neufeld pleaded guilty to charges of robbery with a restricted weapon, assault with a weapon and possession of stolen property during a Monday court appearance.

Nine other charges were withdrawn.

RCMP said at the time a Nampa home and business were targeted December 20 by a masked man with what looked like a firearm. Money was stolen from the home.

Neufeld was also facing two charges after a December 19 hold-up at a business in Falher. Both those counts have also been withdrawn.
