Vehicle stolen out of Grande Prairie turns up in High Prairie

A vehicle stolen out of Grande Prairie turned up in High Prairie last week.

On September 27th, RCMP were investigating a report of an abandoned vehicle near High Prairie. When a Peace Officer approached the vehicle, the people inside woke up, put the vehicle in gear and the officer had to jump out of its way.

According to RCMP, there was a short pursuit that was called off due to public safety concerns.

Thirty-five-year-old Allan Cloutier of Grouard has been charged with assault on a peace officer with a weapon, dangerous driving, flight from police, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
