Heritage Village Folktales Tours

The Folktales Tour makes its haunting return to the Grande Prairie Museum’s Heritage Village on October 18 and 19 with an extra scary flare.

They’ve added new fictional stories to make the occasion more chilling than ever before, in addition to traditional regionally historical stories.

The outdoor walking tour takes place at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. each night and lasts approximately an hour and 15 minutes.

It takes place primarily outdoors. Visitors are reminded to dress weather-appropriate.

The minimum age to attend this event is 16 due to scarier stories this year.

Tickets cost $25 per person and can be purchased in advance at cityofgp.com/folktales

A staff member from the South Peace Regional Archives is on-site following the tour to showcase newspapers and other historical documents highlighting the factual aspects of the Folktale Tour stories.
