It is with the heaviest of hearts that the family announces the passing of Anne Bryan on March 4, 2024 at the age of 91 years at Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.  She passed peacefully, surrounded by family and singing “Amazing Grace”.

She was predeceased by her husband Dennis, daughter Roxanne, son-in-law Steve, infant granddaughter Nicole Albinati, her parents Eli and Katherina Basaraba and eleven siblings.

Anne will be lovingly remembered by sisters-in-law Eileen Paulson, Del Basaraba and brother-in-law Bob Sanders; sons Douglas (Monica), Michael (Cristine); daughters Deborah (Evan) and Caryl (Reg); grandchildren Tom (Tammy), Michelle (Faith), Cary-Anne (Layne), Matthew (Brittany), Trevor (Megan), Jamie (Danica), Megan (Adam), Paul (Heather), Courtney (Josh), Bryanne and Jacob (Kristin); and great grandsons Bennett, Addison, Eddie, Jackson, Denny and Sawyer.

With her warmhearted nature, people were drawn to mom.  Her sense of humor and quick wit often brought smiles and laughter to everyone around.  She was gentle, caring and considerate.  Her priority was always her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She treasured family gatherings and would be there with her favorite white blouse on.

Anne was an awesome cook. Serving up family meals brought her much joy and added many calories to her guests. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Bingo, (which she won more than she lost) was one of her favorite activities at Emerald Gardens.  She enjoyed being an armchair fan for both curling and golf.  The Gardens was a perfect home for mom.  She gained new friends and was happy there for the past six and a half years.

Dennis and Anne relocated to Sherwood Park in 1994 and moved back to Grande Prairie in 2017.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on June 17, 2024 at Glenwood Funeral Home & Cemetery (52356 Range Road 232, Sherwood Park, Alberta) with interment to follow.

The family is sincerely grateful to the staff at Emerald Gardens for Anne’s care since September 2017 and to the doctors and staff at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital for her care over her last seven weeks.
