Margaret Crittall, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Blue Sky, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Prairie Lakes Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 81 years.
She was born in Fairview, AB, on September 24, 1939, and raised on a farm near Blue Sky. Margaret graduated from Fairview High School and Grande Prairie Business College. She then worked various jobs before marrying Garry Crittall and becoming a homemaker for their family.
Margaret was very kind, loving, family-oriented, had a good sense of humour, and she loved her Church. She had a passion for many things such as cooking, sewing, puzzles, mind games and was an avid reader.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Garry Crittall; children: Lisa Petersen, Gord (Julie) Crittall, Derek (Cori) Crittall; grandchildren: Mitchell (Samantha) Petersen, Jordan Petersen, Patrick Shannon, Brodie Crittall, Kara Crittall and Katie Crittall; great-grandchildren: Roy and Alix Petersen, Declan Shannon; brother Jim Kruchten; Tom (Maxine) Kruchten; Bertha (David) Hartman and family; Denise Kruchten and family; Jerry Hartman and family.
Margaret was predeceased by her Mother Anna Dena Kruchten (nee Morbeck); father Lewis Kruchten; brothers: Walter, Danny, Henry and John; sisters: Betty, Pauline and Agnes.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private invitation-only viewing will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.)
A private invitation-only Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).
The family would like to thank Hosna and her angels at Prairie Lakes Hospice for the empathy and compassion shown to Margaret and family during her time spent there.
The family was also like to give a thank you to Dr. Barreth and Dr. Noga for the care and compassion shown to Margaret. They would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses as well as the rest of the staff at the Grande Prairie Cancer Clinic for their care over the past 4 years.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
