January 4, 1973 – January 18, 2022

 

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dan Sadownik.

 

Danny passed away comfortably and peacefully on January 18^th at Prairie Lakes Hospice in Grande Prairie, AB.

 

Danny was born on January 4^th, 1973, in Spirit River, AB. As a youth he enjoyed many adventures with lifelong friends in Blueberry Creek.  He went on to enjoy more adventures with his friends in Spirit River.

 

Dan’s working career was spent in Oilfield positions throughout the Peace Country.  He was known for his hard work ethic and farm boy ability to get things done.  He made fast friends and is remembered for his ability to play even harder than he worked.

 

Dan enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, quadding, his side by side, hunting and fishing with his buddies.  He took special pride and joy in his acreage home in Goodfare.  His neighbors fondly remember the 1 wheel, 2 handled Goodfare taxi that would be used after campfire visits.

 

Dan will be remembered for that great smile, for his big heart, for helping his friends whenever they needed, for his stubbornness and his determination to live life on his own terms, and always to the fullest. He always had a story to tell, and was always ready to share an adventure.

 

He leaves to mourn his mother Grace (Casey), brother Kevin (Nancy), sister Susie Sears (Murray), niece Alexis Murray (Alex), nephew Mark Sears and extended family.

 

Danny is predeceased by his father Bill, infant brother Kelly, and many of his favorite Aunts and Uncles.

 

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 23^rd, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Bear Creek Funeral Home. Due to Covid, there is a 50-person limit on attendees.
