March 9, 1961 – February 4, 2023

Daniel Kenneth Nelson passed away peacefully at home on February 4, 2023, surrounded by love and family at the young age of 61 years.

Dan lived life to the fullest, never letting anything slow him down.  He had a passion for his Harley, camping, his grandchildren and pets, and he loved his building projects.  One of his greatest joys was time with his close friends, playing cards.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa (Maddigan) Nelson; his children, Chris (Loriann) Nelson, Charity (Steven) Chaulk, Justin Nelson, Bret Nelson, Kerrie Nelson and Alysa (Sam) Nelson as well as his 8 grandchildren Jordan, Leah, Oliver, Crosby, Sawyer, Tobias, Elliot and Connor.

Dan was predeceased by his parents Ken Nelson and Vivian McDonald and Teresa’s parents Leonard and Celine Maddigan.

A funeral service for Dan will be held on Saturday, February 11^th at 2pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home 11802 99 Avenue Grande Prairie.
