Deley, Olga

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Olga Deley, a longtime resident of Woking and Grande Prairie, and most recently a resident of Pioneer Lodge. She passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, at QEII Hospital at the age of 88 years.
Olga was born on her parent’s homestead farm east of Woking on October 12, 1932. She grew up on the family farm and took her schooling at the old one-room Woking School. She married and moved west of Woking for a few years, then returned to the homestead farm with her family. There she lived for most of her life, raising her four children and working hard on her farm. She planted a large garden, tended to livestock, and was especially busy during harvest time. Olga retired from farming in 2010 and moved to Grande Prairie.
Olga was a kind and caring person, a wonderful cook, and had a quirky sense of humour. She liked to sew and enjoyed quilting in her later years, and looked forward to any fishing outings. Olga loved her family, was a good friend to many, and a faithful servant to the Lord. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Olga was survived by her children Edie Mah, Donna Deley, and Shelley Deley; grandchildren: Lynette Deley, Katrina Cheng (Mark), Leesa Berge-Deley, Karly Hong (Daniel), Nikki Murphy-Deley, and Liam Murphy-Deley; great-grandchildren Keenan Deley-Watson, Arianna Cheng, and Ethan Cheng; brother Alex Wiereleychuk; nephew Lawrence Boyko; and niece Judy Doll.
Olga was predeceased by her son Dan Deley; grandson Nicholes Deley; sisters Teena Boyko and Dora Ellis; brother Mike Wiereleychuk, her parents Nick and Dora Wiereleychuk, and son-in-law Len Mah.
A Public Viewing will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021, from 2:00-4:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, AB, (10007 107 Ave).
