Nolan Everett DeWinter, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Rycroft, AB, passed away Monday, December 17, 2018, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 32 years.
Nolan was born April 15, 1986 in Spirit River, AB and was raised in the Peace Country.
He spent many years working in the oilfield industry, and also worked in the concrete industry. He recently received his Class 1 license and was driving “big trucks”.
Nolan was very charismatic and charming, but could be stubborn; once his mind was set, that was it. He was very diligent at any task he had decided on. He was very loving with children, especially his son Raiden, and was eager to help anyone who needed it. He was very knowledgeable about many subjects.
Nolan loved gardening. He sure had a green thumb! He also enjoyed trucking, riding bike and anything with wheels. He liked getting his hands dirty and was not afraid of anything.
He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his father Roy DeWinter, grandparents George and Josephine DeWinter, and Papa and Baba John and Esther Yuswak.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at 2:00pm, at Rycroft Community Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to Rotary House (10101 97A St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 0X3) or to ACT Medical (formerly Camp Clinic) (10405 102 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 2W5).
