Paul Omer Fortin, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Tangent, AB, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Grande Prairie Care Centre, at the age of 92 years.
Paul was born on June 27, 1929, in Quebec, and was raised in Tangent, where he became a farmer until he moved to Grande Prairie in 1978. He worked as a cabinet maker until he retired. He was married to Fernande for 50 years, and together they raised seven children. He is now once again beside his late beloved wife.
Paul loved watching hockey, spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to work with wood, making cabinets and shelving units, and so much more.
Paul will be sadly missed by his children: Michael (Carole) Jacqueline, Corinne, Rene, David, Juliette, and Monique; grandchildren: Brian (Michelle) Darren, Brandon, Chantelle, Marcel (Kali), Melanie (Nathaniel), and Shawn (Caitlyn); great-grandchildren: Hannah, Katie and Ryver; as well as his only living sister Claire Thibeault in Manitoba.
Paul was predeceased by his wife Fernande.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 1:00pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).
