Olive Eidse Fraser passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 4, 2019, at the age of 62 years.
Olive was born on July 29, 1957 to Aaron and Gladys Eidse in Morris, MB. She lived in Rosenort for the first three years of her life before moving to Heart Valley, AB. She was baptised into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite on April 23, 1972 by Minister Pete Thiessen.
Her early years were spent working for her father on the farm and teaching school. She taught for 6 years. In 1987, at the age of 30, she moved to Enderby, BC with her family. Here she bought and ran Olly’s Kitchen for 2 years. This is where she met her husband, Greg Fraser. They married on December 13, 1992. They remained in Enderby for 6 years with the additions of a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Amanda. From Enderby they moved to Hythe, AB where their third child, Laura, joined their family.
Olive loved to garden and spent every spare minute she could outdoors. She sang in the kitchen almost constantly. She enjoyed making sure everyone left her home extremely well fed. She had a loving heart and was a friend to everyone, especially those in need. She loved to have her children around, no matter when or where.
Those left to remember her are her husband Greg; children: Christopher (Emma), Amanda (Travis) Toews, and Laura, all of Hythe, AB; sisters: Sharon (Stan) Isaac of Neilburg, SK, and Sylvia Eidse of Enderby, BC; sister in-law Judy Eidse of Grande Prairie, AB; brothers: Ken Carlson of Vancouver, BC, and Mike (Pam) Eidse of Enderby, BC; mother in-law Marion Fraser of Enderby, BC; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Olive was predeceased by her parents, father in-law, 1 brother, and 4 siblings in infancy.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at 10:30am, at Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Hythe, AB.
