Hawryluk, Elaine "Mic"

It is with broken hearts that the family of Elaine “Mic” Hawryluk (nee Fox) announces her passing after a short but courageous battle with lung cancer. A longtime resident, of Grande Prairie, AB, she passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the age of 72, with her family by her side She was in peace when she left us, with a heart full of love and a smile on her face.
She will be fondly remembered for her witty sense of humour, her kind heart and her love of family, friends, and animals.
Mic was born on October 17, 1948, in Fairview, AB, to Joe and Thelma Fox.
Mic will be sadly missed by her son and daughter in-law Dion Fox and Anita Hebert, grandson Tyler Fox, step-grandchildren Quade (Shanna) Plummer and Miranda Hebert, great-grandson Gannon Plummer. Also left with cherished memories are her eleven brothers and sisters and their families, and her many friends.
Mic was predeceased by her husband Ron Hawryluk, parents Joe and Thelma Fox, sister Karen Fox and many of her four-legged companions.
Cremation has taken place, and at Mic’s Request, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date when we are allowed to gather and reminisce and celebrate the life of this amazing woman.

Many special thanks to the 3rd and 5th-floor nurses at QEII Hospital, Dr. Keegan, the MAID Care Team, Dr. Barretth, and nurse Hosna and all the staff at Points West Hospice. In Mic’s words “You are truly my Angels”.
