Henry William Rose

July 29, 1942 – November 21, 2025

 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Henry William Rose at the age of 83, on November 21, 2025, at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

Henry was born in Whitelaw, Alberta and graduated from Fairview Highschool, he apprenticed as a mechanic in Fairview and later was employed by Windsor Ford. He retired after 40 years of service there. He volunteered at many curling events at the Curling Club and was also involved in the Elks for 43 ½ years. He loved to curl, golf, play fast ball and crib.

Henry met his wife Sharon while working at Windsor Ford, they were married August 13, 1977.

Henry is survived by his wife Sharon Rose. He is also survived by Lyn Rose, Noel Rose, Steve Potter and Mike Potter.

He is predeceased by his parents Jim and Mary Rose, his siblings Dave, Jim, Celia, Betty and their spouses, his in-laws Ethel, Evelyn and their spouses, his brother-in-law Albert Smith, known as ‘Sonny’.

A Memorial Service will take place for Henry on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 2:30pm at Grande Prairie Elks #285 10806-106 Street in Grande Prairie, AB.
