It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Niki Lee Hollingworth on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the age of 23 years.
Niki was born in Grande Prairie to parents Dean and Wanda on July 15, 1994. She attended Teepee Creek school and later Sexsmith Secondary.
Niki always had a love for small animals. She was happiest with a little animal in her arms. Franky, her cat, had a special place in her heart and more recently, Polly. Becoming an auntie also brought her great joy. She also loved music.
Travelling was another passion for Niki. As a child, she and her family traveled to various states and throughout British Columbia. Later on, she spent an extended length of time in Thailand. Her and Riley’s most recent trip was to Mexico.
She will be sadly missed by her boyfriend and best friend Riley McDermott, her mom Wanda (Scott) Noren, dad Dean (Margo) Hollingworth, sister Brittany (Keith) Hollingworth, niece Hazel, nephew Oaklen, grandparents Allie and Bunny Noren, and Shirley Hollingworth, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There are no words to explain how much Niki will be missed.
She was predeceased by her grandfather Norman Hollingworth and great-grandparents Bill and Norma White.
A Celebration of Niki’s Life will be held at her father’s residence on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at 3:00pm. Everyone is welcome.
Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation – Mental Health (10409 98 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 2E8).
