September 10, 1954 – April 23, 2022

 

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Joanne Marie Arseneault, beloved mother, grandma, sister and friend passed away on April 23, 2022, in Grande Prairie, AB. with her daughter by her side.

 

JoJo was a kindhearted, loving person who touched the lives of everyone she met. Her love for music, her kind demeanor and sense of humour will live on in the hearts of her family and those who knew her.

 

She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her children Rob (Kelley) Petrie, Lisa (Leon) Petrie, Steve Arseneault, Sean (Seang) Arseneault, as well as 9 grandchildren: Jessica (Matt), Emily, Madelyn, Justin, Travis, Simon, Parker, Rylan and Haven. She also leaves behind her siblings Jimmy, Marjorie (Ken), Johnny (Jenny), Peter (Sandi), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 32 years, Phil, her father James Power, and mother Joan Power (nee Beshara).

 

We welcome you to join us in celebrating JoJo’s life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Bear Creek Funeral Home. For those unable to attend, there will be a live streaming of the service.

 

The family would like to also thank the staff at the Grande Prairie Care Centre for the kind and loving care shown to our mom during her residence there.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her name to the Adult Day Program in Grande Prairie, AB. where JoJo attended, Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue (she loved all animals, but cats were her favorite), or the Alzheimer’s Society.
