It is with deep love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Kenneth Joseph Shaw on Monday, June 29, 2026.
Ken dedicated much of his life to working as a building contractor, taking pride in quality craftsmanship and the satisfaction of a job well done. Beyond his work, he found great joy in serving within his church community and quietly helping those around him. His faith was reflected in the way he lived: through kindness, service, and a willingness to give of his time.
Above all else, Ken loved his family. Some of his greatest happiness came from creating lasting memories with his children and grandchildren. Whether through family gatherings, adventures, or simply spending time together, he cherished every opportunity to create new memories with those he loved.
Ken was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Rebecca Shaw, and his brother, Clayton Shaw.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Leslie Shaw; his brother, Len (Laurie) Shaw; his sisters, Anne Flanagan, Jean (Pete) Ketler, and Susan (Bill Speechley) Shaw; his children, Tracy (Mace) Eliason, Dan (Amy) Shaw, Taylor (Kerri) Shaw, Paige Ireland, and Kyla (Shaun) Van Dresar; his 16 cherished grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating Ken’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (11212 102 Street) in Grande Prairie, AB.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they celebrate the life of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose influence will continue to be felt for generations.
