Robert (“Bob” or “Bobby”) Arthur Kimble passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 93 years.
Bob was born on June 8, 1925, in a log cabin in the Glen Leslie area to parents Herman and Sylvira Kimble. He spent his entire life in the same area – marrying Stella Norton on July 5, 1944. Together they farmed and raised their family of four on land just southwest of Crystal Creek.
Bob supplemented the farming income with RA Trucking – hauling grain, pigs, lumber, etc. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, visiting, and loved nothing better than a game of cards.
He is survived by his sons: Gerald (Mae), Ron (Cheryl), and Gene (Diane); daughter Joyce (Bill) McLandress; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren; sisters in-law Louise Kimble, Jean Kimble and Grace Menard; and brother in-law Ed Norton. Also missing him is special friend Doreen Boyd and a large group of amazing friends, neighbours, and extended family.
He was predeceased by his wife Stella; sisters Elaine (Tom Osborne), and Violet (Alfred Wales); and brothers Herman, Herbert, and Ellsworth (Anne) Kimble.
Bob’s family would like to say thank you for the out-pouring of expressions of sympathy.
As per Bob’s request there will be no funeral.
