With profound sadness we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn (Hebner) Lawson, our devoted and loving mother, sister and friend on Saturday, September 26, 2020, at the age of 57 years.
After what felt to us like an eternity of her fighting for her life in the Hospital in Penticton, BC, her body was unable to continue. Although her organs were failing, she passed pain-free, peacefully in her sleep with her children cuddled by her side and family close by.
Cheryl was well known for her contagious smile that always came from her heart. Always loving, fun, genuine, and a true friend to anyone whose lives she touched.
Cheryl is survived by her children Garrett and Amanda; granddaughter Ashlynn; adopted daughter Ashley (Matt); grandchildren Julia and Kai; sisters Janice and Debra (Keith): nieces and nephews: Justin, Stephanie, Samuel, Karyn and Hehley; as well as many other extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Penticton Regional Hospital, they did all they could do to help Cheryl fight.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 12:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave).
Here may we celebrate the joy Cheryl brought to all of our lives. We ask that out of respect that there be no alcohol consumed before or during this celebration of life.
A livestream link will be available 5 minutes prior to the service on Cheryl’s obituary page on Oliver’s Funeral Home website.
Memorial Donations in memory of Cheryl may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation (309, 1010 1 Ave. NE., Calgary, AB, T2E 7W7), or to Arthritis Society of Alberta and NWT (430, Garneau Professional Centre, 11044 82 Ave. NW, Edmonton, AB, T6G 0T2), or to South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation- Penticton Regional Hospital (550 Carmi Ave., Penticton, BC, V2A 3G6).
