Lenes, Delmer Carlton

Delmer Lenes, resident of Clairmont, AB, formerly of DeBolt, AB, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 90 years.
Delmer was born July 4, 1929 in Gonvick, Minnesota. He moved with his family to DeBolt before the age of one. He lived his life in DeBolt, farming, hauling gravel, and hauling logs. Delmer was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and family.
On October 15, 1952 he married Isabelle Lindsey. Together they raised seven children: Rick (Pat) Lenes of Leduc, Beverly Lenes of Calgary, Donna (Ron) Hanson of Grande Prairie, Robert (Brenda) Lenes of Calgary, Kevin Lenes of DeBolt, Tracy Lenes of Calgary, and Trudy (Gordon) Berg of Grande Prairie. He will also be sadly missed by his sister in-law Wanda Borley of Gabriola Island, BC, 18 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Delmer was predeceased by his wife Isabelle in June 2019, parents Joe and Gerda Lenes, sister Arlene Ford, great-granddaughter Bryanna Froh, and nephew Maurie Ford.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 11:00am, at Goodwin Cemetery (corner of Forestry Truck Road and Highway 43).
