It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lindsay Thomas Weller announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at the age of 64 years.
Lindsay was born on August 22, 1956, along with his twin Lorna, to Harold and Vivian Weller in Hythe, AB. Lindsay resided in Hythe until the age of 18 when he relocated to Hay River where he worked for the railroad. He then moved to Grande Prairie where he started working for Midwest Electric and began his career as a journeyman electrician. He met the love of his life, Diane, through her brother and his co-worker Wilf. They were married on May 28, 1988. Lindsay decided to pursue a different career, starting with doing maintenance in a gas plant and then obtaining his millwright ticket. Lindsay worked for Alberta Energy which became AEC and then Encana.
Lindsay is survived by his loving wife Diane; daughters Courtney Weller (Christopher Newbold), and Stephanie Weller (Jamie Rumley); grandchildren Kacie-Lee and Jaxon; twin sister Lorna (Darin) Dowling; sisters Diane (Louie) Trottier, and Bobby (Bill) Weller; in-laws Don and Agnes Guenette; Diane’s siblings: Wilf (Glenda) Guenette, Sharon (Doug) Wickberg, Brenda (Greg) Wickberg, Dwayne (Lousie) Guenette and Shayne (Marsha) Guenette; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Harold and Vivian, and his grandmother Gladys Park.
A Celebration of Life will take place at Bear Creek Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 2:00pm. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be available on Bear Creek Funeral Home’s YouTube Channel.
