March 13, 1992 – October 13, 2021
It’s with heavy hearts and extreme sadness that the family shares the sudden passing of Lindsey Jennifer Reynolds, at her home, in Calgary, AB., on October 13th, 2021, at the age of 29.
Lindsey was born on March 13, 1992, in Grande Prairie, AB., and was raised on an acreage just outside of the city. Lindsey was very outgoing, loved the outdoors and everything that came with it, camping, quadding, exploring, picking wildflowers, and she always looked forward to the annual fish derby at Moonshine Lake. She also spent a lot of her childhood and adult life at our family friend’s cabin at Swan Lake, BC.
From an early age Lindsey had an interest in horses. She volunteered at PARDS and eventually took riding lessons. Lindsey finally got her own horse Maggie and joined a private 4-H group where she pursued English riding and show jumping. Lindsey also attended various horse camps during the summers; Kakwa region being her favorite camp.
After graduating high school from Peace Wapiti Academy, Lindsey moved into the city of Grande Prairie. Her first job was at Walmart working in the photo lab. She then moved on to work at the local hospital as a housekeeper. After getting her Health Care Aide Certificate, she continued to work in the hospital as an HCA and then moved on to the community doing private HCA jobs. Lindsey was also active in the photography community in Grande Prairie. From doing photo shoots to modeling for local artists at the Creative Arts Center, she also did various fashion shows including the wearable Art Show. Lindsey also travelled to Edmonton where she modeled for local photographers. In 2017, Lindsey moved to Calgary where she worked as an HCA for various private companies and the past year as a support worker for the Calgary Drop-in Centre.
Lindsey’s biggest goals were to pursue her dreams for fashion, modeling, photography and acting. She expanded her career by net working with a number of photographers, doing photoshoots, fashion shows, acting, and some music videos. She was always open to learning and trying new things when it came to her modeling. Her true love was the TFP community, where she arranged events, trips, brought models and photographers together and just inspired everyone to be themselves and go after their dreams. Lindsey was driven and passionate about every challenge she faced and would overcome every hurdle to the best of her ability. Lindsey was a kind, caring, compassionate soul with a heart of gold. She was a confident woman who has truly left her mark on this world and departed this earth way too soon. Her laugh was contagious, she was so full of life and had a positive attitude towards others.
Lindsey will forever be in the hearts of, and remembered by her parents, Laura and Larry Reynolds, sister Carlee (Kenneth) Ostare, brother Brennan Reynolds , grandmother Mavis Lazoruk, and uncles, aunts and cousins plus her beloved cats, Angus and Finnagin.
She was predeceased by her grandmother Jennifer Reynolds and her grandfather William Lazoruk.
Due to Covid restrictions, Lindsey’s Celebration of Life will be by invitation only on October 31, 2021 at Bear Creek Funeral Home 11802 99 Avenue, Grande Prairie. For those unable to attend, the service will also be livestreamed at the link below beginning at 1PM.
Halloween was Lindsey’s favorite day of the year, so costumes and red lipstick are optional. She would have loved that!
