Michael William Lynch
It is with deep sadness and broken hearts that the family announces the sudden and tragic passing of a loving partner, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend Michael William Lynch, resident of Beaverlodge, AB. He passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021, at the age of 31 years.
Mike was born in St. John’s, NL, on March 6, 1989, to Jacquelyn Handregan and William Lynch.
Mike and Vanessa moved to Alberta in 2013 so he could continue to work in the oilfield and Vanessa pursue her dream in teaching. He had a larger than life personality and was the life of the party. He knew exactly how to make you mad but was also the same person to make you laugh in the same sentence. In the words of his employers Kelsey and Tyrell Hoffos, his happy “getter done” attitude will be missed by every person that was lucky enough to have met Mike. There was never a dull moment when you were around him. He would make you laugh every day and give you the shirt off his back when you needed it.
Left with fond and loving memories, is the love of his life for 12 years, Vanessa Chafe; his father Billy (Geraldine); sister Heather (Mike) and his beautiful niece Evalyn; Vanessa’s parents Douglas and Virginia Chafe; Vanessa’s brother Michael (Natalie); his canine buddies: Thor, Groot, Drax, Puddin and Pepper; grandfather Dick Rogers; aunts and uncles: Terry (Ivy) Handregan, Paula (Mike) Handregan, Mickie Handregan and families, Cathy (Reid), uncles Tom (Sheila) Lynch, Gerard (Geraldine) Lynch, and Bob (Tracy) Lynch, and Nancy (Lynch) and families; a large circle of cousins, great-uncles, and great-aunts; also, his Pathmaker family and a large circle of friends both in Alberta and Newfoundland, especially Matthew Frizzell and the Frizzell family.
He was predeceased by his mother Jacquelyn Handregan; grandparents William and Bridget Lynch; grandmother Louise Rogers; and his uncles John Lynch and Tom Reid.
Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date in both Alberta and Newfoundland.
“When in doubt, tack her out”
“I will love you forever, I will love you for always, for as long as I’m living, in my heart you will be! I love and miss you babe! Watch over me! I will see you when I see you.” – Vanessa
