Lyster, Phylis Margaret

Phylis Margaret Lyster, resident of Grande Cache, AB, formerly of Grimshaw, AB, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019, in Grande Cache, AB, at the age of 75 years.
Phylis was born on December 4, 1943 in Kingston, ON and raised in Russell, ON. Phylis was a teacher and later worked as an operator for AGT. She loved to volunteer, helping other people, and being involved in her community.
She also enjoyed skiing, horseback riding, and hiking. She enjoyed knitting and always had something on the go. Reading was another favourite activity and she loved books.
Phylis will be sadly missed by her son David Steen (Lisa Anderson); grandchildren: Dalen, Larissa, Jaren, Daver, and Shayla; great-grandchildren: Keturah, Azra, Tiauna and Carson; brothers: George James and Les James; sisters: Freda Horton, Ellie James, and Millie James; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Douglas Allan Lyster (April 1, 2018).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 2:00pm, at Pineview Alliance Church in Grande Cache, AB (10201 Hoppe Ave.).
