Audrey Sharon Nessman (nee Ferguson) passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, and friends in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 75 years, and now resides with our heavenly father.
She was raised in the town of Qu’Appelle, SK, where she acquired her schooling. Upon graduating from high school, she worked at the Royal Bank. Audrey and Jerry were married in 1965 and commenced their working careers in Peace River, AB. They also raised their three children there. Audrey, when not maintaining the home, worked at the bank, and then moved on to Atco Electric. As time moved on, her position with Atco became located in Grande Prairie. This had its rewards, as her three children also lived and worked in Grande Prairie.
Audrey lived in physical pain for many years. However, she always maintained a positive outlook on life, and continued her love of gardening, crafts, and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
Audrey is survived by her children: Teddy Theodore Mark (Lee-Ann) Nessman, Vicki Ann (Robert) Oliver, and Jessica Dawn (Michael) Nessman; life-long friend Jerry (Jerome) Anthony Nessman; siblings: Patricia Weist, Carol “Boots” (Terry) Appenheimer, and Bonnie Ferguson Howie Odgers; grandchildren: Ryan Oliver, Terren Nessman, Cory Oliver, Mat Nessman, Miranda Nessman, and Joel Nessman; as well as great-grandchildren: Finley, Ira and Casey.
She was predeceased by her beloved dad Alexander Whyte Ferguson; mom Annie; brother Danny Ferguson; sister Marion Ferguson; nephew Alex; and great-nephew Ryan.
Mom (Gramma) you were braver than you ever believed, stronger than you seemed and loved more than you ever knew. We will miss you!
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In remembrance of Audrey, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Grande Prairie Cancer Centre (C/O Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation) (10409 98 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 2E8 or online at https://gphospitalfoundation.ca/)
