Sandhu, Gurshiran Jit Singh

Gurshiran “Gursh” Sandhu, resident of Grande Prairie passed away Sunday, May 12 2019, at the age of 66 years.
Gursh was born on May 1, 1953 to Ajit Singh and Gurdial Kaur of Bassi Jalal, Punjab, India. The fourth of five children, Gursh immigrated to Canada in 1976. After residing in the Northwest Territories and British Columbia, Gursh settled in Grande Prairie in 1979, where he worked at the Weyerhaeuser mill (formerly P&G) for 35 years as an Operator and then Saw-Filer.
Gursh enjoyed working with his hands on small projects around the house, gardening, playing golf, and more recently, time spent playing with his grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Baldeesh, two sons Amrit and Paul, granddaughters Suhani and Sehej, and grandson Jhovan.
He was predeceased by his father Ajit Singh Sandhu, mother Gurdial Kaur Sandhu, and his brother Gurminder Sandhu.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, May 19 2019, at 12:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
