Colleen Norma Seidl, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Tomslake, BC, and Balcarres, SK, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 75 years.
Colleen was born February 27, 1944 in Dawson Creek, BC and was raised in Rolla, BC. She was a nurse, and she loved her occupation. She loved animals. She won prizes in 4H, but wanted to purchase her animal back when she won. She loved the music of Freddy Fender, Don Williams, and Garth Brooks. She saw Garth in concert and loved it! She also loved to travel!
She was strong. She fought for everything and everyone she thought needed a backup. She was known for saying, “Don’t tell me what I can’t do!” She was crafty and enjoyed sewing, flower making, cooking, reading, gambling, travel, and loved flower gardening.
Colleen will be sadly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and all that knew her.
A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at 2:00pm, at the Rolla Hall in Rolla, BC.
The family would like to thank the hospital staff and Dr. Anthony Best for the care she received the past couple of years in Grande Prairie.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (144, 5241 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton, AB, T6H 5G8), The Lung Association (Box 4500 Stn South, Edmonton, AB, T6E 6K2) or to Alberta SPCA (17904 118 Ave. NW, Edmonton, AB, T5S 2W3).
