Sharon Marie Halladay

March 4, 1952 – April 7, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Sharon Marie Halladay at her home in Grande Prairie at the age of 69 years.
Sharon was born on March 4, 1952 in Kingston, Ontario and lived most of her life in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Sharon went back to school and received her diploma in 1993. She was a kind and loving person who enjoyed cooking for others, crossword puzzles, video games, movies, and spending time with friends and family. She also adored cats. Sharon had a big heart and a great sense of humour; she made many friends over her life, especially in Willow Place where she spent her last days.
Sharon is survived by her brother Earl (Yogi) Halladay, her niece Brenda Halladay, great nieces Montana Halladay, and Grace Johns, nieces Tara Halladay, Nicole Halladay, and Lera Myers, nephews Jeremy Halladay, Ryan Halladay, Curtis Halladay, and Troy Halladay, as well as her son Robert Harrison who had been placed for adoption as a baby.
Robert and Sharon were reconnected later in life and she had the opportunity to meet his wife and children. This meeting was a joyous occasion for her and her relationship with Robert and his family was very special to her.
She was predeceased by her parents Phil and Marguerite Plante, and her brother Don Halladay.
A Celebration of Life for Sharon will take place on July 18, 2021 in Grande Prairie.
