Temple, Lance Alexander

Lance Alexander Temple, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Meadow Lake, SK and Vernon, BC, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019, at Prairie Lakes Hospice in Grande Prairie, at the age of 79 years.
Lance was born on June 8, 1939 at Home in Meadow Lake, SK where he was also raised. He attended school at Cock-of-North School, north of Meadow Lake, up to grade 7. Lance was a farmer and rancher for 30 years and worked construction as a master carpenter.
Lance was very determined, meticulous, had a good sense of humour, and loved people. He enjoyed sports, the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 49½ years Madelaine; children Leanne (Ray) Braybrook, Shannon (Ron) Eichinger, and Nicole Weller; grandchildren: Kaitlan Weller, Aaliyah Braybrook, Tynisha Braybrook, Alexandra Weller, Robin Eichinger, and Haley Eichinger; brother Frank (Betty) Temple sister Martha Temple; as well as many extended family members.
Lance was predeceased by his brothers: Gordon, Wesley, and Arthur; and sisters: Marguerite, Edith, and Mabel.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 2:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at 2:00pm, at Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502 102 St.).
