William “Bill” Thiessen passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, in Melaque, Mexico at the age of 78 years.

Bill was born in the province of Manitoba on April 4, 1943, and moved to Grande Prairie, Alberta area in 1969. He trained as a welder working in Grande Prairie and in 1973 bought a farm near Wembley, Alberta. In 2015 retired to the big city of Grande Prairie.

Bill is survived by his wife Marilyn; sons Dale (Rebecca) and Andy; daughters Heather (Wade), Laurie (Terry); grandchildren: Amber, Kaitlin, Jay, and Em. He is also survived by one brother; three sisters; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bill loved to fly airplanes, travel, go fishing, and make new friends.

Following Bill’s wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service.
