April 12, 1934 – November 12, 2021

Velma (Val) Swanson, a longtime resident of Hythe, passed away on November 12,2021 at the age of 87, in the Beaverlodge Hospital.

Val was born on April 12,1934 at Tupper, BC to parents Robert (Bob) Walper and Ettie Walper.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters; Candy (Craig) Robertson and Lori (Delbert) Lubeck, grandchildren Shasta and Chance Robertson, Kari-Lyn Rakestraw and Morgan (Shiloh) Wardill, great grandchildren Brandon and Skylar Rakestraw, Jada Hein and Ryker and Brixton Robertson.

She will also be missed by her two brothers Vernon and Kelly Walper.

The family would like to thank Dr. Duta and the Beaverlodge Hospital staff for the care of our mother and a very special thanks to the staff at the Hythe Pioneer Home for their care and compassion over the past 8 years.

At Val’s request, no service will be held.
