Jason Waine, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Lac La Biche, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 47 years.

Jason was born in Hinton, AB, on May 30, 1971. He was the youngest of 5 children. He spent his time hunting and fishing. In September 2011, he married Julie Doucette. They have 3 children: Ethan Gracyn, and Haden. He spent his last days in Grande Prairie, AB.

Jason had a great sense of humour and a huge heart. He loved spending time with his family.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Julie Waine; children Ethan, Gracyn and Hadin Waine; parents George and Denise Waine; brother John (Lorri) Waine; sisters: Jeralyn (Mitch) Sehn, Joanne (Rick) Erasmus, Jacqueline (Herve) Michaud; parents in-law Armand and Bernie Doucette; sister in-law Gerry-Lynn (Garnet) McCann; brother in-law Larry (Katie) Doucette; god parents Tom Dechaine and Monique Abramson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Victor and Mary Dechaine and John and Sophie Waine; uncle Oscar Waine; and aunts Annie Parent, and Amelia Waine.

A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00am, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 1:30pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.).
