Walker, Norah Daisy

Norah Daisy Walker, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the age of 88 years with her daughter Kim, son Doug, and niece Kelly by her side.
Norah was born August 20, 1931 in Bracebridge, ON, to John and Marion Matthews. She spent most of her youth in Bracebridge, moving to Orillia and Barrie through the years. In 1975, she moved to Grande Prairie where she married James Walker in 1977. Norah worked for the City of Grande Prairie as a parking meter attendant for many years and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Women’s Auxiliary, as well as the Army Navy Airforce Club where she enjoyed playing cards in her later years.
She is survived by her brother Fred; daughter Kim (Paul) of Bancroft, ON; son Doug of Hinton, AB; grandchildren: Megan, Kenneth and Kathryn; and great-granddaughter Lillian.
Norah was predeceased by her husband James, parents John and Marion, brothers Jim and Herb, and sister Pat.
Norah will be interred with her mother in Ontario.
